King Ethelbert School was chosen as one of the first schools in Kent to be modernised as part of the national Schools for the Future programme. Accordingly, governors, pupils and staff were involved in redesigning the school buildings and environment to make it fit for purpose for 21st century teaching and learning. The school was remodelled around five learning zones;
• Design,
• Commercial,
• Communication,
• Discovery and
• Well – being.
These reflect the many different aspects of learning we plan for our young people to be engaged in. At the heart of the redesign was an emphasis on the use of state of the art technology.
